Proverbs 3:5-6

I was "pondering" the things that are currently going on in the world and how it is affecting our family. I went to the scriptures wanting to understand. There are so many things to try to understand right now. Yesterday I woke up to hear on the news that hundreds of people in the LA area have lost their homes to fire. Today the firestorm continues to rage and thousands of people will ask why as they are told to leave their homes now. The passing of prop 8 has caused many to become so angry that they want to harm others and so many wonder why it matters for those who support traditional marriage to care what others do with their lives. Is supporting Traditional Marriage that important to put yourself in danger and aren't we all given agency, so shouldn't they be allowed their own choice. The economy is affecting all of us. We are probably going to have to make some difficult choices and this may not end without some great losses and some broken hearts of those we love and care about weather it be family or friends. The scriptures do answer all these questions and they give me peace as I read them. In Prover 3:5-6 it says "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths." I looked in the Topical guide and read several scriptures that related to "Understanding" and it was a good source of comfort to me to read them. I hope all of you will find comfort in the scriptures when times are tough and you are looking for answers. We have been told that we can find them in the scriptures and I find that to be true. Next post I'll have pictures, I promise!!!
